Shafali Verma – Career Information 

Before debuting in international cricket matches, Shafali Verma played for Velocity in the Women’s T20 Challenge. In 2019, when India competed against South Africa in a WT20I match, Shafali began her Twenty20 International career. She was just 15 years old at that time.

On the 16th of June, our right-handed batswoman played her first Test innings in her cricket career when India matched up against England in 2021. Shafali Verma has scored 96 runs in her first test match. In the second test innings, she scored 63 runs, and in total, she scored 159 runs, which helped her get the ‘Player of the match’ award. 

On the 27th of June, Shafali Verma made her debut in the Women’s One Day International match when India faced off against England in 2021. And in the year 2022, she will also play for the Indian Women’s team in the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022.

  • Boys refused to play cricket with Shafali Verma because it is easy to get hurt in the sport of cricket. So, Shafali planned and cut his hair and disguise it as his brother to play cricket. She did this until everyone began to recognize her for her talents.
  • Shafali’s love for Sachin Tendulkar is not so little. When she went to watch Tendulkar’s last Ranji Trophy match, she pledged that she would practice and play like him for India in the future. She waited to see Sachin that day, but unfortunately, she couldn’t.
