Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina lost his father on February 06th (Sunday). Raina’s father name is Trilokchand Raina. Trilokchand passed away from cancer at their family residence located in Ghaziabad and his condition was deteriorating since December last year.

Suresh Raina’s father Trilokchand Raina was a military official. He was an expert in making bombs and thus was posted in the bomb-making ordinance factory before his retirement.

Suresh Raina was born on November 27, 1986 in Muradnagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where his father Trilokchand, a retired military officer, had relocated. His father, a member of the Kashmiri Pandit community, is originally from Rainawari, in Jammu & Kashmir, while his mother is from Dharmashala, Himachal Pradesh. He has three older brothers Dinesh Raina, Naresh Raina and Mukesh Raina and one elder sister Renu. Dinesh, who is eight years older than Suresh, is a school teacher.
Having a mere salary meant he could not afford cricket coaching for a young Raina. However, Raina’s life took a turn when was admitted to the Guru Gobind Singh Sports College located in Lucknow in the year of 1998. From debuting for the Indian team to winning the World Cup in 2011, he had won it all in his successful cricketing career.
He played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20s for India. He is the first Indian batsman to score centuries in all the three formats of the game. He is the top run scorer in IPL with 4540 runs and is the only player to have scored over 400 runs in 7 consecutive IPL seasons.
He retired from International cricket alongside MS Dhoni in August 15th-2020 revealed. He is gearing up for the upcoming IPL 2022 mega auction. He is listed at the base price of Rs.2 crore and a couple of franchises could target him as he offers a left-handed option. He is a senior campaigner and has played 205 games.

Suresh Raina took to social media to share an emotional post, saying he has lost his support system.
“No words can describe the pain of losing a father. Yesterday, on passing away of my father, I also lost my support system, my pillar of strength. He was a true fighter till his last breath. May you rest in peace Papa. You will forever be missed,” Raina said in his post.
