The wait is over happy news for TNPL Fans; the fifth season of Tamilnadu Premier League begins on July 19th and the final will be held on August 15th. All the 32 matches are going to be conducted at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk.
The complete Match schedule has been officially announced by the TNPL officials. Totally Eight teams are competing in TNPL and the list of TNPL teams are
- LYCA Kovai Kings,
- Nellai Royal Kings,
- Madurai Panthers,
- Salem Spartans,
- Chepauk Super Gillies,
- Ruby Trichy Warriors,
- Dindigul Dragons and
- IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans.
The first Match is between the teams LYCA Kovai Kings vs Salem Spartans.
The teams are already started practice session from July 9th 2021 with all safety measures. The Players and all the crew members have been tested for Covid19 and completed mandatory quarantine period. All the government rules are strictly followed said the officials. And BCCI Anti-corruption team will be monitoring and guide the team.
In the last season of Tamilnadu Premier league 2019, The Chepauk Super Gillies won the title against Dindigul Dragons by 12runs in the final match. Highest run scorer of the season was Narayan Jagadeesan ( Total match Played: 10, Runs scored: 448 Average: 64). And the highest wicket taker was Ganeshan Periyaswamy( 21 wickets in 9 matches).
In this season TNPL 2021, The Tournament starts on July 19th and totally 32 matches will be held and team will compete with each other in seven stages in league.
