After a long time, Pakistan is able to play its home ground games in their own country. Currently, Pakistan is celebrating their 5th edition of the PSL. With just 6 games done, there has already been controversy in the tournament.
In the match between, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi, Peshwar Zalmi emerged victoriously. Even though Peshawar Zalmi won the game, the match was seriously considered as a bad example of cricket.
Quetta Gladiator opener Jason Roy accused Peshawar Zalmi’s fast bowler Wahab Riaz of ball tempering. During the 18th over bowled by Wahab Riaz, Jason Roy asked the pace bowler whether he made the ball properly to gain perfect reverse swing. For this Pakistani pace bowler responded angrily.
Wahab Riaz and Jason Roy got into a heated argument during the game.— Pakistan Chronicle (@PakChronicle_) February 24, 2020
This argument has escalated so quickly that Peshawar Zalmi Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed interfered and cooled the situation. The way Wahab Riaz interacted with Jason Roy is condemned by many of the fans. With just getting their cricket spirit right Pakistan players insulting visiting country players is not good for the Pakistan Cricket.
What a Shameful Act by Wahab Riaz towards Jason Roy. You People Call them From Foreign Countries to play in Pakistan and at the other moment, you misbehave with them. Its not Sportsmenship and Not a part of Game.#PCB should take action of it.#S_R_K pic.twitter.com/bzqpdmNEdY— AhmadMustafa (@AhmadMu68422205) February 22, 2020
