In the recent turn of events, PSL has announced that the tournament has been called off few minutes before the start of the game. Earlier 9 international players from PSL have moved to their home country. It was rumored that the player had coronavirus symptoms. PSL at the time has refused to name the player.
Even in the press meet conducted by PSL head Wasim Khan he refused to mention the name of the player that may have come into contact with Coronavirus. But it has been made clear that the tournament has been called off due to the scare of the virus spreading to the other players and more importantly the audience. Then the resulting effect will be catastrophic for the country.
Even though PSL management has refused to name the player, Pakistani commentator Ramiz Raja has spilled the beans and named the player that has been shown the symptoms Novel Coronavirus. In the meeting, Ramiz Raja said that England cricketer and Karachi Kings player Alex Hales showed the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus and are in self-isolation once he entered his country.
Also, he mentioned that all the commentators, as well as the broadcasters, will undergo a Coronavirus test in a few hours. It has to be noted that remaining players both foreign and Pakistan will be in self-isolation for the next 14 days. Whether it will be in Pakistan or outside Pakistan has to be seen.
